Your Heroes are the lynchpin to your success or failure in Mecha Fire. A full roster of these characters can help you in every facet of the game, from developing your City to defeating Swarms and other players. This is a basic guide to help you understand how to obtain and level up your Heroes, and explain how they can be of service to you.
Recruiting Heroes
![]() | The Warp Dome is your primary source for managing and recruiting Heroes. Use this Building to view all of your recruited Heroes, their abilities, and their available upgrades. You can also view your progress towards unlocking more Heroes, and Level Up the ones you already have. |
Hero management can also be accessed via the Hero button on the action bar.
| In order to recruit new Heroes, you’ll need to spend Recruit Coins at the Warp Core. These can be earned as rewards in various activities, or purchased from the Store. |

Attributes and Skills
There are symbols and numbers on each Hero’s Page that tell you a lot about their abilities. These are broken up into two categories: Attributes and Skills.
Attributes
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
- The first thing you’ll notice is the Rarity Level of the Hero. There are three levels: Rare, Super Rare, and Super Super Rare. As you can probably guess, the more rare the Hero, the more powerful it can be, and the harder it is to obtain.
- At the top of each Hero’s Attributes page is the Hero’s name, and two symbols beneath it, which indicate the Hero’s Mecha Type and Hero’s Type.
- The Mecha Type indicates which Mecha Troop Type they are most adept in helping:
![]() Aircraft Mecha | ![]() Mobile Mecha | ![]() Tank Mecha | ![]() All Mecha |
- The Hero Type lets you know the Hero’s best positioning in Expedition Combat situations:
![]() Long Range Deals the Most Damage | ![]() Mid Range Adept in Any Situation | ![]() Defense Absorbs Damage in Battle |
- Your Force is the number just below their portrait. This is a measure of how powerful that Hero is, taking into account Rarity, Level, Skills, Star Tiers, and Equipment. The higher the Force number is, the stronger that Hero will be.
- Star Tiers are another way to increase the power of your Heroes. Every time you increase a Hero’s Star Tier, their attributes will improve, and they will gain access to additional Skills. The maximum Star Tier is 30.
Skills
There are two types of Skills that every Hero can utilize: Expedition Skills and On-Map Battle Skills. These skills are unique to each Hero, and provide different boosts in varying situations.
- Expedition Skills refer to the real-time combat skills and abilities that are used in Expedition Combat against NPC enemies.
- On-Map Battle Skills refer to a Hero’s March & Passive Bonuses.
- Passive Skills are applied to your City, and to ALL the Mechas you currently have.
- March Skills are applied to the Marching Troops that are accompanied by the selected Hero.

Leveling Up Your Heroes
Your Heroes can achieve a maximum Level of 100. In order to get them from Level 1 to the best they can be, you’ll need a few items.
- Hero Exp Chips are used to increase the Hero’s Level, and can be obtained through various activities, or can be acquired for Powerstones at the Store.
- Hero Pieces are used to Recruit Heroes and increase their Star Tier.
- Skill Codexes are used to raise the level of the Hero’s Skill. The highest Skill Level is Level 5.

Hopefully, this guide has given you a solid foundation for understanding the Heroes of Mecha Fire. Good luck, Commander, as you embark on your adventure to build your City and conquer your foes!
